Processing Manager

 Manages consumer direct operations activities, including loan processing, branch support and ongoing, operations-related vendor and project management. Manages loan application documentation review, data entry, coordination with underwriting and loan closing as well as communications with branches to explain, train and facilitate the consumer direct loan origination process. Coordinates branch support activities to provide phone and other support to retail personnel originating consumer loans.  Ensures that processes are conducted efficiently, timely, and according to established policies and procedures. Supervises staff, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work. Develops department policies and procedures and provides guidance and direction to staff regarding the most complex aspects of their work as necessary. Able to take steps to ensure adequate staffing and staff development to address changes in work flow and volume.  Ensures ongoing staff effectiveness in support of department activities.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer direct loan processing industry practices and procedures.
  • Ability to develop, understand and apply operational policies and procedures.
  • Strong decision-making and follow through skills.
  • Supervisory experience and staff development skills, management experience a plus.
  • Project management experience.
  • PC proficiency, including familiarity with consumer loan systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prior successful supervisory experience in Retail Lending or related experience.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Prior track record of developing and supervising a Retail Lending team in a high-growth environment.

Requirements:

  • 2 years Senior Processing experience.
  • Knowledge of FHA guidelines and documentation requirements.

Wholesale Account Executive

American Advisors Group is seeking experienced Account Executives to promote and maintain their reverse mortgage wholesale division.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Inside Sales position calling on Independent Mortgage Brokers, Correspondents, Banks and Credit Unions.
  • Conduct quality sales calls with prospective and existing clients to maintain/develop broker relationships and/or generate FHA mortgage submissions.
  • Sources new brokers on an ongoing basis and submits required documentation for broker approval.
  • Develops and manages all business opportunities without a sales territory.
  • Assists in obtaining sufficient and complete documentation from the broker as required by AAG underwriting/processing guidelines.
  • Acts as a liaison between AAG and the mortgage broker throughout all phases of the loan process.
  • Maintains sales contact, pipeline and other pertinent sales activity reports.
  • Collaborates with Account Manager to maintain an active pipeline.
  • Works with Management to set and achieve monthly goals.

    • Minimum requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years FHA/Conv/Correspondent prime wholesale origination experience in mortgage industry.
  • Knowledge of loan programs, standard underwriting guidelines and compliance.
  • Prefer candidates that have an existing broker base experienced in originating FHA and Conventional mortgage loans.

Senior Funder

The senior funder is responsible for the input, audit, and drawing of documents in order to coordinate an efficient and accurate completion of loan packages. He or she is also responsible for meeting closing, rate lock, purchase contract, rescission, etc. requirements while ensuring the loan is saleable, insurable and serviceable for investors.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Doc Review
  • Pre-audit for accuracy of loan information.
  • Use all pertinent documentation in file to ensure consistency (e.g., approval, lock, appraisal, title, etc.).
  • Identify correct codes to use for specific products.
  • Input all data into current system.
  • Verify all fees and credits are accurate based on doc request and compliance with disclosures.
  • Perform manual audit.
  • Make all necessary corrections in current systems.
  • Print loan docs.
  • When final review is complete, email document package link with any additional required items to be signed at closing with instructions to the closing agent. If sending hardcopy, create shipping receipts & package documents to be sent out via overnight shipping to Escrow, Closing Agent or Attorney.

Final Audit

  • Final audit and review of loan docs prior to sending the loan docs to Escrow, Closing Agent or Attorney.
  • Funding Review
  • Review loan documents and complete data input into the funding system in order to balance the wire and send wire to closing agent.
  • Verify loan documents are signed properly and free of modifications, ensuring that we have received all pertinent documents required to authorize disbursement.
  • Conduct audit of HUD1 to verify all information, including charges, fees, disbursements, impounds, etc. are accurate and charged in accordance with the Truth in Lending Act and Itemization of Amount Financed. This audit also includes reviewing for any red flags that could potentially indicate fraudulent activity, resulting in loss to the company.
  • Ensure that wire is balanced; including any impounds and fees being netted from the wire and that wire instructions are accurate and have been approved with closing protection.
  • Issue funding disbursement authorization to the closing agent after audit completed.
  • Confirm closing and disbursement with the closing agent to verify we have a valid loan.
  • Communicate with Processing Team Leads, Processors and Loan Officers to overcome obstacles in order to ensure accurate doc draw of loan documents and funding of the loan.
  • Clear discrepancies within the loan file.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring that all prior to funding and at closing conditions have been met in accordance with Investor guidelines. Any prior to doc conditions moved to prior to funding must still be addressed and the closer must coordinate sign off by the underwriter before releasing the wire or issuing disbursement authorization.
  • Submit a completed file to Post Closing that is ready for Sale and Insuring that is accurate and free of data input errors and document errors that would cause delays in sale to investors or cause insuring delays.

VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the overall direction and guidance of the company’s loan activities. The candidate will support the national sales team, which currently manages a pipeline of approximately 300 funded loans per month. He or she will oversee an operations staff of approximately 50 employees. This position will be responsible for all facets of the operations function of a national wholesale and retail lender including underwriting, funding, account management and loan set-up. The VP of Operations will partner with the VP of Sales to ensure that all aspects of the mortgage experience and process are efficient and effective for consumers and associates. This position will report to the COO of American Advisors Group.

The position underwrites residential mortgage loans in accordance with FHA and internal guidelines ensuring compliance with company and investor standards. Candidate should have current in-depth experience and knowledge of FHA lending guidelines and understands how those relate to internal and investor guidelines. Candidate must be able to clearly communicate all mortgage loan guidelines to clients, loan processors, and loan officers. In some cases this position may act as secondary review and escalation point for conventional loans and government loans. Applicant must have a thorough knowledge of complex personal and business financial expertise in tax return and balance sheet analysis. Qualified applicants MUST have a CHUMS # and be DE certified.
